Guided Walks, Treks and Tours

Take time to walk through the theatre of nature, and meet one of the most fascinating and wonderful facets of her creation...you.

The most extraordinary thing that occurs with folks who spend the majority of their time and life in cities and civilised areas, is the self-realisation of the tempo in which they have are living.  This is usually the first real insight they gain when first out in unspoilt natural surrounds.  Entangled in that tempo is stress and a lack of time to simply reflect upon oneself.

Nature runs at different timeless pace.  Walks in nature provide a reminder of that pace, and all that is required is to pause from time to time and take it all in whilst you are on your way.  It is a pace that is honoured by traditional cultures across all continents, and still unbeaten by modern civilisations.  Completing a day's walking tour or longer tour is one of the greatest rewards you can give yourself: a perfect way to maintain physical well-being, as well as provide a balance through self-company, and a wonderfully personal way to encounter and learn about some of nature's other wonders.

Walking or trekking in the accompaniment of a group provides time to share and inter-relate with others who you may only have known in certain working and social environments.  Longer conversations to talk than over coffee breaks, wider discussions to have than along meeting agendas.  Time to experience others in a different light, and for them to see another side of you.  Such an experience has incredible potential to re-establish and recover working-relations between work colleagues.

Scott has years of experience and knowledge in low-land and high-mountain trekking.  Having completed long treks throughout Australia, Nepal, France and Scandinavia, he is familiar with the preparations and priorities that ensure a fully rewarding distance-walk.  As guide, Scott suggests trails that are suitable to the physical condition and experience of the group, providing informative input before and during the trek.  Participants have ample opportunity to engage in the tour and their natural surrounds, as well as provide focus to their own selves and others.
