Awesome Team building with Didjeridu!

Unique in Australia !!!

What is it? Corporate Didjing! is a unique and exciting activity that sets learning to play the Didjeridu as an powerful team-based activity. Your group is shown an incredibly easy and practical way to start playing the didjeridu, and then build simple tones and sounds. The group is challenged to grasp the concept of circular-breathing: the key to effective and advanced playing. Finally, the new-found playing skills are set to good use in "clans" to create a “tune” together that represents a chosen corporate theme or objective.

Who is it for? The Corporate Didjing! program is designed for conference groups, workplace teams, project teams, sporting and community groups...in fact any team you can imagine! The program is particularly useful as an energising activity for any group on conference or corporate assembly, including annual meetings, retreats, strategic meetings, workplace events, and as part of larger training programs. The unique Australian cultural heritage of the didjeridu makes a fascinating and enthralling experience for international and overseas groups on visitation to Australia.
Groups can range from 10 to 50 participants.

No previous experience or musical ability required whatsoever !

When is it used? The program is designed as either the perfect conference break-out, as well as a stand-alone team activity, or as a component of a larger comprehensive team-building program.
Key team or conference themes and objectives can easily be incorporated into the program, such as communication, paradigms, assumptions, group member roles and creative decision-making.

Where is it run? The program is perfectly adaptable to run in-house, where the sounds of the didjeridus are captured and shared, or outdoors on a grassed and shaded area, where a real sense of connectivity to the surrounding natural environment provides a truly re-energising result for the entire group.

What is included? A 2 hour program provides:

  • a presentation of the instrument, its heritage & history as well as an introduction to traditional & contemporary playing styles
  • a warm-up breathing & initiation activity
  • practice didjeridus provided to each participant
  • a fun & interactive session on playing a simple “drone” or basic tone
  • tips on developing the drone to play tempo-tones & rhythms
  • tips on introducing vocal & other sounds
  • an insight to the art of circular-breathing
  • an opportunity to identify a corporate/team theme or objective & create a team "song" as a finale!

How much does it cost? The 2 hour program costs only $15 per person for minimum 10 to 50 persons in any group, including hygenic practice instruments for each participant and the complete program (larger groups of over 50 persons on negotiation.)

We guarantee everyone plays a drone !

Corporate Didjing! client feedback...

"I want to pass on a big Thank You from the group for your memorable session at our retreat. We all had a fantastic time challenging ourselves to learn a new skill (some of us were obviously quicker learners than others!). Hearing the stories of your experiences with traditional masters (and the kids) in Arnhem Land was a bonus and I know the group appreciated your honesty and sincerity. Your respect and enthusiasm for traditional indigenous culture is reflected in your playing and teaching and definitely had a positive impact on the group and their experience.
So again, a huge thank you!!"
   N. Woodcock LGAQ

"Your program provided the turn-around and light in an otherwise rained-out and disillusioned conference meet. I don't know what else could have promoted that much fun and laughter!  Many thanks from all the conference members"  P. Hewgessen UniMS

"Brilliant!  A real buzz!  I never thought we could play those sounds, let alone play a tune together.  Can't wait to try it on the vacuum hose at home!"  A. Davids ATO

"You inspire them with honest and passionate energy and show them that it is ok to have laugh and learn together.  Great job!"  C. Lawlor SCEC
